At Lotus Funeral Services we believe you are entitled to your benefits. Reimbursements for funeral services may vary per person so we encourage you to reach out to a local VA organization for clarification. You can be entitled to a free burial space which can save  you thousands of dollars. If you are a Veteran with a  DD214 honorable discharge (DD214 paperwork), you and your spouse are entitled to a free burial plot in a National Cemetery. Also, you may be entitled to a free bronze marker if you have property in a public cemetery or an emblem that can be added to an existing headstone or marker. 

Military honors are usually organized through the funeral home at no cost to the family. Military honors can be presented in a local funeral home, community center, or any other venue your memorial services will be. Military honors is only allowed once per person so if a national cemetery will be your final resting place the honors will take place on the day of your burial. A flag is presented to the next of kin after the honors, and you can purchase a flag case at the funeral home if you wish to display it.
